FAQ

Tickets

Where can I safely purchase tickets?

You can find a link to the organiser of the concert or event at the top of the event page. Here, you’ll find more details about the official ticket outlets. Please note: there is always only one official ticket outlet per event.

Where can I safely purchase tickets?

Ticket sales are handled by the event organiser/promoter, often through Ticketmaster, Eventim, the organiser itself, or other official ticketing agencies. Ticket sales do not take place through AFAS Live.

For each event on our website, it is indicated where you can officially purchase tickets for the event. This is usually done online or by phone. The tickets purchased through our website are sold via official sales channels at the price set by the event organiser. This ensures that you never pay too much and that the ticket you purchase is 100% valid. If the event is not sold out, you can buy tickets at our box office on the evening of the event.

Be cautious about where you purchase tickets!

Unfortunately, there are more and more fake or overpriced tickets being sold online through unofficial sales channels. Be aware of this! Want to know where you can safely buy tickets from official channels? Visit the Weet Waar Je Koopt website.

How can I tell if my ticket is original and valid?

It is not possible to see from the ticket whether it is valid. Tickets may display the correct logo and include various security features, yet still be invalid.

We advise you to purchase your tickets only from the official ticket seller. On our website, we always link to the official seller, ensuring you buy genuine tickets. Unsure? Check Weet Waar Je Koopt to make sure you are not buying from a ticket scalper.

Can I purchase wheelchair tickets online?

This differs per promotor. Sometimes wheelchair or accessible tickets are offered online, in other cases it might be necessary to order them by phone.

At most concerts, wheelchair users (and potentially a companion) can take a seat on the specially constructed wheelchair platform. This platform is usually located at the back of the hall, in front of the seating area, and is easily accessible. The entrance and venue are on ground level. You'll be seated on a separate platform, elevated above the standing audience, giving you a clear view of the stage.

For seated shows, different seats are reserved for wheelchair users. You’ll be seated to the side of one of the front rows near the stage. How can you tell if a show at AFAS Live is a seated concert? Different tiers (price categories) will be listed during ticket sales on the event page in our calendar.

Additionally, there are separate accessible toilets on each floor and a lift. For parking with a disabled parking permit, you can check here. All car parks have disabled parking spaces. Our main entrance is located opposite the ArenA, on the other side of the ArenA Boulevard.

I lost my tickets, what is next?

We do not sell tickets ourselves, nor do we have them in our possession, which is why we direct you to the ticket seller. If you have ordered hardcopy tickets, it’s best to contact the organisation from which you purchased them.

If you bought your (online) tickets through the ticket seller’s website, you can log in with your own account to find your ticket again. If this doesn’t work, you can contact the ticket seller.

Can my ticket be scanned from my phone?

This varies per event. The ticket seller for the event determines whether tickets can be scanned via a phone. To be safe, we recommend printing your tickets and bringing them with you.

If you still want to know whether tickets can be scanned via a mobile phone, we refer you to the event organiser or the official ticket seller. You can find this information on the event page in our calendar.

My ticket says ‘vrije staan- en zitplaatsen’. What does this mean?

"Vrije staan- en zitplaatsen" or "General Access" means you can choose whether to stand or sit at a concert. In addition to standing areas, our venue also has a grandstand with over 700 seats. We also have a balcony on the second floor, which offers around 650 seats.

It is not possible to reserve seats in advance. If you prefer to sit, we recommend arriving early so you can choose your own seat. The venue doors usually open at 6:30 pm (always check the event page for up-to-date timings).

Concert / Event

How can I be updated on all events in AFAS Live?

Through our calendar you can stay updated on events taking place at AFAS Live. Want to be the first to know about new concerts? Sign up for our newsletter

You can also follow concert news via social media platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram en LinkedIn.

What is the minimum age to visit a concert?

The minimum age varies per event. We recommend an advisory age of 16 or older. If you are under 16, it is advised to attend with someone who is 18 or older. Please note: this is only a recommendation. For shows with an age restriction, you can find this information on the event page.

For dance events and night parties, the minimum age is often 18. You can click on our calendar and select the show you wish to attend. If a minimum age applies, this will be clearly stated on the event page.

Until what time can I enter the venue?

Our doors remain open during the show. So, you can enter later than the start time, but once you’ve entered and leave the venue, it is not possible to re-enter.

There might be a time when doors close during dance events, check the event page to see whether this is the case.

At what time does a concert start?

A week prior to the concert, the schedule is often announced by the organisers, and we will also post it in the agenda on our website.

If a support act is announced, the mentioned start time is for the support act, and the main act will begin later.

At what time does a concert end?

This varies per event. The end time of a concert is usually announced a few days in advance. Consideration is given to those using public transport, so organisers aim to have concerts finish around 11:00 PM. The 'expected end time' mentioned on our site is therefore no more than an expectation and a guideline. Check our agenda for any possible schedules.

What is an Aftershow?

After (almost) every regular concert, there is an aftershow in the Talent stage, featuring performances by Dutch talent. Everyone who wants to continue enjoying the show is welcome. Music is played and performed in the same genre as the concert, so it’s definitely worth sticking around after the show. Attendance at the aftershow is free.

An event is being mentioned, but it is not on the website.

Events are only listed on our website once they have been confirmed by the organiser or promoter. It sometimes happens that an artist reserves the right to announce a concert first on their own site. So, please keep checking our website to see which official ticket seller you can buy tickets from and when the presale starts.

The concert is sold out. Will any tickets become available?

When a concert is sold out, no tickets are available. We do not operate with waiting lists. If a concert is sold out, this will be indicated on our website. We do our best to keep the website as up-to-date as possible.

In some cases, last-minute tickets may become available. The concert organiser will announce this. However, we never know in advance, so please keep an eye on our social media.

Canceled and rescheduled concerts

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason, an announcement will be made on our website. The organiser/promoter of the event determines how or what steps need to be taken to obtain a possible refund.

Does AFAS Live organise all the concerts themselves?

No, AFAS Live is indeed the venue where the event takes place, but in most cases, it is not involved in the organisation/production and ticket sales of the event. If you want to know which organiser is behind the concert you wish to attend, you can click on the event page in our calendar.

Location

Is there a map of the venue?

The layout of the venue is determined by the organiser of the event. The organiser is responsible for the seating arrangement due to the size of the stage. This is why there is no standard seating plan available on our website with all rows and seat numbers.

You can find the seating plan on the website of the ticket sales organisation.
