The British rock icons Skunk Anansie will perform a concert at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on Saturday, March 22nd. Ticket sales start on Friday, October 25th, at 10:00 AM via mojo.nl/skunkanansie.
In 2019, Skunk Anansie celebrated their 25th anniversary with 25LIVE@25, a live album featuring a selection of their greatest hits from six studio albums, along with an extensive tour. The upcoming tour, featuring an entirely new production, marks an exciting new chapter in the legendary band's history, with new music on the horizon.
Frontwoman Skin on the new tour: “We are really excited to be getting back on tour, doing what we love the most, which is playing live with fire in our belly. This tour will be a completely brand-new production and we can’t wait to share it.”
Since their formation in 1994, Skunk Anansie has broken through all barriers with their fierce lyrics, driving metal, punk riffs, and sensitive ballads. With multiple multi-platinum albums such as Paranoid & Sunburnt (1995), Stoosh (1996), and Post Orgasmic Chill (1999), they demonstrated their vast versatility and reach. This was further confirmed by a string of hit singles, including the ballads "Brazen (Weep)," "Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)," and "Weak."
The band has since become one of the most influential acts in the British rock scene, celebrated for addressing political and social issues in their music while breaking racial and gender barriers in rock. Their influence extends beyond music, contributing to discussions about identity, equality, and activism.
Over the course of their career, Skunk Anansie has sold over five million records worldwide. The band's international fame continues to thrive today, with sold-out live arenas and headlining festivals across various countries.
