For the first time in their nearly 50-year musical careers, legendary guitar icons Joe Satriani and Steve Vai unite as the **SatchVai Band**, set to conquer Europe this summer with an electrifying tour. The tour kicks off on June 13, 2025, hitting major cities like London, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam. They will also perform at prominent European summer festivals, including Hellfest, Umbria Jazz Festival, and Guitares en Scène Fest, with a grand finale planned around August 1.

Last spring, the duo teamed up outside the G3 format for a joint tour with their own bands across select U.S. cities. This collaboration inspired them to finally form a band together and bring their successful formula to the stage, starting with Europe.

In March 2024, after nearly five decades of musical camaraderie, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai released their first joint work, *The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1*. This track showcases the unparalleled synergy between these two legendary guitarists as they seamlessly trade solo sections throughout the nearly six-minute opus. Their second collaboration is set to release just ahead of the European tour, further fueling anticipation for the shows.

The musical journeys of Satch and Vai have been intertwined since their early years. As teenagers on Long Island, New York, Satriani was Vai’s guitar teacher. Their bond has only strengthened over time, with both sharing record labels, starting with Relativity Records in the late 1980s, and later calling Sony/Epic Records their home in the 1990s. They have also frequently performed together with a third guitarist, notably during the biannual G3 Tours, both in the U.S. and internationally.

“The SatchVai Band Tour is happening! I’m beyond excited to share the stage with Steve once again,” said Satriani. “Every time we play together, I’m transported back to when we were teenagers, eating and breathing music every second of the day, challenging and encouraging each other to reach new heights. I don’t think we’ve ever stopped!”

Vai added, “Touring with Joe is always a pleasure and an honor. He’s my favorite guitarist to jam with, and now we have the chance to do it on stage again. I feel like we’re both at the top of our game, and this show will be a powerful celebration of the coolest instrument ever—the electric guitar!”

Joe Satriani recently wrapped up a busy schedule, including the critically acclaimed Sammy Hagar-led *Best of All Worlds Tour*. Steve Vai toured the U.S. with his BEAT tour, following the conclusion of the Satch/Vai tour earlier this year.
